SITLA Completes Aspen Project on Tabby Mountain Block

In late 2019, SITLA launched and completed a 150-acre aspen regeneration project on the agency’s Tabby Mountain Block. This short video, presented to the Utah Legislature last week, documents this successful project.

SITLA Forester Adam Robison coordinated and led the project, secured grant funding, researched and selected a project site, and worked alongside a timber harvest lessee on Tabby Mountain. Resource Specialist Scott Bartlett documented the project, serving as drone pilot, aerial videographer, script writer, and video narrator.

Their work shows how SITLA reduced the likelihood of catastrophic wildfire in this area, while preserving value and generating revenue for trust beneficiaries.
