The Utah School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration (SITLA) has reopened trust lands in the Lake Mountains following 100% containment of the Knolls Fire. The area is located on the eastern slopes of Lake Mountain, located south of Saratoga Springs in Utah County.

Fire crews will patrol and monitor the area over the next few days. The public is advised to use caution when visiting the area due to the recent burn. Please visit Utah Fire Information for current fire restrictions on state lands, including trust lands.

SITLA Director David Ure issued a temporary closure of trust lands in the area to protect public safety and allow for wildland firefighting efforts.
