The School and Institutional Trust Lands announced the sale of 193 acres of school trust land to Jack Fisher Homes for development of the Brillo Del Sol master-planned community in the Green Springs area of Washington City.
The transaction generated $8.8 million in proceeds to benefit Utah’s public school students. The funds will be deposited into the Permanent School Fund that holds approximately $2 billion. Last year, the trust account distributed nearly $40 million in interest and dividends to schools across the state.
“Acquiring this land is a win-win situation for public schools and the southern Utah economy,” said Colin Wright, managing partner of Jack Fisher Homes. “We are excited to break ground on Brillo Del Sol and get to work on this innovative community.” Read the full Jack Fisher Homes news release.
