The Utah Land Trusts Protection and Advocacy Office released its FY 2020 Annual Report and FY 2020 Beneficiary Reports. These reports outline the Utah School and Institutional Trust System revenue, investments, and distributions for July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020.

The Utah Legislature created the Land Trusts Protection and Advocacy Office in 2018. This Office represents and protects the 12 trust beneficiary interests.
It also provides trust system oversight and helps the public understand and support these important endowments. View the Utah School and Institutional Trust System video.
The Trust System
- Trust Protection and Advocacy: The Land Trusts Protection and Advocacy Office provides active monitoring and advocacy for productive and optimal revenue from trust land management, prudent and profitable trust fund investment, and effective distributions to the trust beneficiaries.
- Trust Land Management: Utah School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration, SITLA, manages the 4.5 million-acre land portfolio for trust beneficiaries.
- Trust Fund Investment: Utah School and Institutional Trust Funds Office, SITFO, invests the $2.5 billion endowments in a globally-diversified investment portfolio.
- Trust Fund Distribution: The School Children’s Trust Section at the Utah State Board of Education manages the permanent fund distribution through its School LAND Trust Program.
