What are trust lands?
Trust lands are parcels of land granted by Congress to Utah at statehood to support specific beneficiaries, including public schools, universities, hospitals, and reservoirs.  Trust lands are not public lands, but are generally open for public use, when possible. Trust lands were allocated specifically to generate revenue to support our beneficiaries. SITLA currently manages 3.4 million surface acres on behalf of our beneficiaries.

Location:
The parcel is located in Tooele County – near the Tooele/Juab county line – about 22 miles southwest of Dugway and about 6 miles southeast of the Pony Express Road.
Access:
The property has good access. From Highway 36, near the town of Faust, head southwest on the Pony Express Road; then southeast on the Old River Bed Road; and then northeast on the Warehouse Rock Road, which runs through the property.
Additional Information:
The parcel is surrounded by other SITLA lands to the north and east. The SITLA property to the south is also being offered at this auction. The property to the west is BLM land. The terrain is mostly level with a few small hills on the eastern side. The vegetation consists of cedar trees, junipers, sage, and native grasses. The elevation of the parcel is approximately 4,540 to 4,660 feet.
