Kevin carter news
During its June 20 meeting, the SITLA Board of Trustees reappointed Director Kevin S. Carter for a third, four-year term. Carter is a 32-year veteran of the agency who was first appointed director in 2003. During Carter’s watch as director, the permanent funds have grown by 400 percent. Most of the revenue generated from the agency’s management of trust lands is transferred to permanent funds, growing the endowments for public schools and other beneficiaries. In addition to Carter’s reappointment, Steven B. Ostler was voted in as the new chair of the Board of Trustees, replacing outgoing Trustee Chair Daniel C. Lofgren who was recognized for his leadership and service to the board for the past six years. R. David Ure was elected vice-chair.
