Sand and Gravel
The Mining Group oversees the permitting of lands for sand and gravel mining. Material Permits for common sand and gravel are normally offered on a competitive basis. All applications for sand and gravel are publicly advertised for a one-month period. Production royalties vary throughout the state depending upon the quality of the material and the local market.
