Beneficiary | Public Buildings

The Utah Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM) receives and allocates revenues generated by SITLA from the remaining land held in trust for public buildings.

DFCM serves as building manager for all state-owned facilities. As such, the agency is responsible for all aspects of construction and maintenance of state buildings. DFCM also assists the Utah State Building Board in developing recommendations for capital development projects and allocating capital improvement funds; oversees all non-higher education and non-judicial branch leases; and controls allocation of state-owned space.

*In advance of the 2004-2008 renovation of the Utah State Capitol, SITLA sold a large portion of the public buildings land trust for approximately $4.4 million, which helped offset the costs of the extensive renovation and restoration.
