Beneficiary | Miners Hospital at University of Utah Medical Center

Miners Hospital at the University of Utah Medical Center is one of 12 beneficiaries of Utah’s trust lands. SITLA generates revenue from the 158,436 acres of land held in trust for Miners Hospital, and deposits those funds into a Permanent Fund for the hospital. Interest and dividends from this permanent trust, along with all non-land sale revenues, are distributed to Miners Hospital annually.
The Hospital uses these funds to assist it in its mission of providing health care to Utah miners with mining related illnesses or injuries.
