The Trust Lands Administration manages 3.4 million acres throughout the entire state of Utah. Many of the agency’s properties are located in some remote and scenic areas. These picturesque locations may lend themselves well for residential purposes. The development of off-grid technologies has allowed many locations to be very comfortable for second homes, cabins and even primary residences.

Residential lease costs are determined by the underlying property values as determined by appraisal or assessment.

Interested parties in obtaining a residential lease should submit a cover letter, map, and application.

Please expect approximately six months for the application to be processed. Typical processing requirements include agency review, cultural resource surveys, review by local government, and a 30-day review by the Resource Development Coordinating Committee.
